September 3, 2002 - The Offspring take home a Kerrang! Award The Offspring opened this year's Kerrang! awards in London with a performance of "Defy You" before being presented with the Classic Songwriter award by Shirley Manson of Garbage. Of the occasion, Kerrang! had to say: "[The Offspring] have influenced and continue to influence new generations of K!-heads.
